Whilst we love most things American, some states have some pretty strange laws still in existence, so to celebrate Independence Day, we've listed a few that have made us chuckle. Happy 4th of July folks!
Vermont - Women must get written permission from their husbands to wear false teeth.
Minnesota - A person may not cross state lines with a duck on their head (........why would you want to?).
North Dakota - It is illegal to lie down and fall asleep with your shoes on.
Georgia - It's illegal to keep an ice-cream cone in your back pocket on Sundays.
Idaho - It's illegal to give your sweetheart a box of chocolates weighing more than 50lbs / 22kg (for perspective, a standard size bag of sugar weighs 1kg).
Florida - If an elephant is left tied to a parking meter, the meter has to be paid just as it would if it were a vehicle. Now that would be a sight!!
Alabama - It is illegal to wear a fake moustache that causes laughter in church.
Connecticut - a pickle cannot be considered a pickle unless it bounces.
Wisconsin - It is illegal to serve butter in prison. Anyone any idea why?
Arizona - It is illegal for donkeys to sleep in bathtubs.
Ohio - It is illegal to get a fish drunk. 😆!
